Nutritional FAQ's

  • Q: What Does Gluten-Free Mean? Down
  • Not only will we not charge you for the Gluten, we don't even put it in our product. Nutland foods are free of ingredients derived from any gluten-containing products. This includes wheat (including kamut and spelt), barley, rye, triticale, as well as the use of any gluten as a food additive.
  • Q: What is GMO Free? Down
  • A genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. There is no cloning going on in the Nutland Laboratory.
  • Q: What is 100% Vegan? Down
  • No, it does not mean this product is made directly from Vegans. 100% Vegan means that even Donald Watson himself would have approved this snack.
  • Q: Trans Fat Free? Down
  • As if we really need to explain this one... we'll let Wikipedia handle the definition of Trans Fat - be careful, you're about to learn more about Trans Fat then you ever thought you would know in your life. "Trans fat is the common name for a type of unsaturated fat with trans-isomer fatty acid(s). Trans fats may be monounsaturated or polyunsaturated. Unsaturated fat is a fat molecule containing one or more double bonds between the carbon atoms. Since the carbons are double-bonded to each other, there are fewer bonds available for hydrogen, so there are fewer hydrogen atoms, hence "unsaturated". Cis and trans are terms that refer to the arrangement of chains of carbon atoms across the double bond. In the cis arrangement, the chains are on the same side of the double bond, resulting in a kinked geometry. In the trans arrangement, the chains are on opposite sides of the double bond, and the chain is straight overall." Wish you would have paid more attention in Chemistry
  • Q: What if my store doesn't carry the Nutland product I want? Down
  • Immediately stop where you are in the store and start to scream at the top of your lungs for a store manager (if you can draw real tears here it will help). Once the store manager arrives, calmly ask him/her to please carry plenty of Nutland Products in stock at all times so this episode never has to happen again.
